Dr. KYLE CARTER
Dr. Kyle Carter
PT, DPT
I was born and raised in Lake Charles and attended AM Barbe High School. I went to LSU – Baton Rouge for my undergraduate degree and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Next, I attended LSU Health Science Center for my physical therapy degree, graduating with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
I chose PT because I enjoy problem solving and the human body is the most complex puzzle.
Core Values: Perseverance & personal achievement
“The best currency, the most valuable of all, is gratitude. When you’re dead, you’re dead, but you’re not quite so dead if you contribute something.”
– John Dunsworth
I enjoy specializing in jaw and headache therapy but at this point I am moving more into sports therapy. I enjoy the act of specialization so I can progress my understanding and perfect my treatment plans so my patients improve just as much as I do.
I enjoy working at Thrive because of the autonomy I have to treat my patients the way I feel is appropriate. Working at Thrive is not so much like going to a regular job because each day is something new and with my incredible coworkers I get to enjoy each day helping others Thrive.
Kyle’s Favorites:
- Movies: Anything horror and mystery
- TV Shows: Falling Skies
- Author: Darcy Coates
On my off days, I am usually running, swimming, or cycling, training for local races or a few Ironman triathlons. If I’m not training, I’m either working on my house or preparing my garden for the summer or winter season.
