Dr. Alyssa Peveto
PT, DPT
I grew up and attended high school in Lake Arthur, Louisiana. After high school, I moved up north to Monroe, Louisiana to attend school at ULM where I majored in Kinesiology. After I graduated with my bachelor’s degree, I moved to Searcy, Arkansas, to attend Physical Therapy school at Harding University.
I chose PT because I truly believe that the body has a way of healing itself with the right guidance. It’s a rewarding field of medicine that trains lifelong changes for a better quality of life. I fell in love with pelvic floor physical therapy when I first learned about it in PT school. It has traditionally been an under-served patient population with ailments that have debilitated patients for years. We get to celebrate what I call, “the secret celebrations” that you wouldn’t necessarily share with anyone. It’s truly my passion.
Core Values: Integrity and diligence. I strive to always do my best and give patient’s my all.
“Whatever you are, be a good one.”
I specialize in pelvic health physical therapy. I want to be an advocate for pelvic health, whether that be for incontinence, pain, or anywhere in between for all age ranges. I want to educate patient’s on their body and help them know ailments that can be treated so that they don’t have to live with them.
I enjoy working at Thrive because I have some of the best coworkers and patient’s around.
Alyssa’s Favorites:
- Books: All things Colleen Hoover, Where the Crawdads Sing
- Movies: The Grinch – Jim Carrey version, Billy Madison, Austin Powers, Age of Adeline
- TV Shows: Outlander, New Girl, Ginny & Georgia, The Summer I Turned Pretty
I spend my days off enjoying my family: my husband Casey, daughter Nora, and 2 dogs Frankie & Pistache. I love traveling and my favorite destination typically involves a cool hike to a waterfall.
